Tile SolidWorks Viewports

Thursday July 18, 2013 at 12:14pm
I was working on a model for a customer today and found it very annoying having to swap back and forth between two model windows.

One solution might be to get a second monitor and span SolidWorks across it. Great, but i'm not working at my own desk today so a single screen will have to do!

A lovely little interface feature in SolidWorks is the ability to fit two windows into the single interface by snapping one to the left and one to the right. Similar to how a window or applciation can be snapped to the side of the screen in Windows 7 and 8.

All you need to do is select the appropriate button from the icons in the top right corner of the file window.
