Calling All DraftSight Users!

DraftSight is a professional-grade 2D design and drafting solution that lets you create, edit, view and markup any kind of 2D drawing.

Unfortunately, due to a Windows 32 and 64-Bit certificate expiring*, DraftSight versions from 2012 to 2017 will not launch/will stop working as of 1st March 2017. Not to worry though as it is a simple fix to get you back to drawing in minutes!

Which will take you to the download page, which also includes Installation instructions, affected releases and additional information. Simply click on Download Hotfix and follow the installation instructions below.

1.      Save anything you are working on and close the DraftSight Application.

2. Double click on the downloaded “DraftSight_HotFix.exe” file, which will open the WinZip Self-Extractor window.

3.      Click “Unzip” and then click “OK” in the confirmation pop up.

4.      Click “Yes” to all pop up windows. If you have User Account Control settings you will get an extra pop up, select “Yes” also.

Select “Ok” to the final pop up. 

      That’s it, it really was that simple! A reboot is recommended after the install, however, the issue is now fixed and you can use DraftSight again or carry on using it if you install the HotFix before March 1st.
