Wednesday July 27, 2022 at 9:58am
Solid Solutions strengthens its Business Transformation Team with the Acquisition of Majenta Solutions’ Dassault Systèmes business.

Solid Solutions has acquired the Dassault Systèmes business from Majenta Solutions Ltd, adding scale and strength to its Business Transformation Team. With the acquisition of Majenta’s Dassault Systèmes business, customers can benefit from additional experience, expertise, and insight, as well as a broad range of design, engineering, manufacturing, and business transformation solutions.

“Our acquisition of Majenta’s Dassault Systèmes business supports our commitment to delivering the most comprehensive suite of transformative technologies to our customers. By adding to the experience, expertise, and capacity of our Business Transformation team, we can offer our customers a unique opportunity to drive their business forward and support them in the next stage of their growth journey.” – Alan Sampson, CEO of Solid Solutions.

This expansion follows Solid Solutions’ acquisition of both Design Rule Ltd and Desktop Engineering Ltd in 2021. Now, the Business Transformation Team brings together the talented engineers from these three crucial companies to form an elite solutions team with unrivalled experience and expertise in delivering a complex range of business-wide transformation solutions to organisations throughout the UK and Ireland.

"The sale of our Dassault Systèmes business unit continues the planned strategic reorganisation of Majenta, allowing us to continue the development of our proprietary digital solutions and extending our service offerings throughout the automotive, aerospace and construction industries. We want to take this opportunity to thank all of our Dassault Systèmes customers, and we believe that you will be well supported and guided by the team at Solid Solutions." - David Downes, Managing Director at Majenta Solutions Ltd.

As the Solid Solutions Group offers the full range of Dassault Systèmes solutions, including SOLIDWORKS, 3DEXPERIENCE, CAD/CAM, hosting solutions, and much more, the Solid Solutions Business Transformation team has the unique ability to offer comprehensive and balanced advice. This means that customers of both Solid Solutions and Majenta can be sure that the team can recommend the solution that best suits the requirements of customers no matter how large or complex.

Acquisition FAQs

Why have Solid Solutions chosen to acquire the Dassault Systèmes portfolio from Majenta?
Following the acquisition of Design Rule Ltd and Desktop Engineering Ltd in 2021, the Solid Solutions Business Transformation team have seen great success and have been supporting customers throughout the UK with increasing efficiencies, optimising processes, and minimising waste, costs, and unnecessary delays.

In order to scale, while being able to maintain our hands-on, advisory approach with our customers, it’s important that we have the right resources and expertise. The team from Majenta brings additional experience, expertise, and insight which can allow us to service a greater number of businesses, offer a wider range of solutions, and ensure we provide the same level of customer service you have come to expect from Solid Solutions.

How can I get in touch?
What will happen to Majenta?
Solid Solutions has acquired Majenta’s Dassault Systèmes business, not Majenta as an organisation. Majenta will carry on supporting its customers and will be directing their focus into other areas such as their proprietary solutions enerjyhub and MX, whilst still providing their extensive service offering within the Automotive, aerospace and construction industries.
What does this mean for me?
  • A larger Business Transformation Team with increased experience, expertise, and resource.
  • A wide range of industry-leading Business Transformation and Product Lifecycle Management solutions.
  • A larger, dedicated Technical Support Team.
  • The ability to consolidate your software suppliers, allowing you to have a single account manager for 3DEXPERIENCE, CATIA, ENOVIA, SIMULIA, DELMIA, and the SOLIDWORKS suite of products.
How does this affect my enerjyhub subscription?
This acquisition will not impact your enerjyhub subscription, this will still be managed and delivered by the Majenta enerjyhub team along with the JLR Global Supplier Integration (GSI) team.
How do I contact Technical Support and raise a ticket?
You can raise a ticket by emailing bt-support@solidsolutions.co.uk
What will happen to my existing support tickets?
Your existing tickets will be moved over as part of the acquisition and handled by the technical team that you are used to.
Will this impact my existing licences?
You should not see any impact on your existing licences, except that going forwards, Desktop Engineering Limited, part of the Solid Solutions Group, will be the legal entity responsible for the renewal of the licences. The Majenta employees who look after your account have transferred to the Solid Solutions Business Transformation Team and will continue to be your point of contact.
Will my Account Manager stay the same? Will their contact details change?
Your Account Manager will continue as usual. If changes arise in the future, you will be notified well in advance and will have a chance to ask questions.

You should receive an email from your Account Manager shortly with their new contact details, if you require urgent assistance, please get in touch on 01926 333 777.
Will this affect invoices and payments?
Yes. As a result of the acquisition, all invoices going forwards will be raised through Desktop Engineering Limited and payments for these invoices should be made to the Desktop Engineering Limited bank account (Sort-code: 20-65-20, Account number: 80413739).? All invoices raised prior to the acquisition by Majenta Solutions Limited should continue to be paid into the Majenta Solutions Limited bank account.
