Johnathan is the best trainer I have had on the past 3 courses (not to say the previous trainers were not of a good standard). I think the main difference is he walked the floor more. Sometimes we struggle on, and say nothing, and as he was continually walking past our screens he could spot this before you get too lost.

He does adjust pace of training to the trained group, doesn't struggle with our questions about Solidworks software options or problems and has healthy, positive approach to his work.

Our course instructor was very knowledgeable and did well to answer any questions, however I think the course instructor needed to be more engaging with the group. This could be through discussing, with the whole class, real world applications for the training or how people might use techniques for their line of work. Those who were slower with the training had help in clicking in the right places to complete the task, but there wasn't much explanation as to why the steps were important. The trainer could have been more vocal with the group and run through difficult bits on the board for the benefit of the whole class. I personally feel these training sessions need to give more than just clicking through the exercises in the book. The exercises are great and important but the course instructor is the one who should be talking and engaging about the application of these exercises, how they can be used in the real world, what problems you might encounter, what alternatives there may be e

I agree with your comments that it is important to understand why you are using certain commands and why you would carry out the steps in such an order. Providing real world examples of where certain commands can be used is something that we actively encourage as we want our customers to get the most out of the training. Haven spoken with the trainer about this course, it does seem like the flow of the course was hampered by the different capabilities of the class and he didn’t get the chance to talk around the subject as much as he would have normally. I want to ensure we are providing courses which benefit our customers so I will follow up with you personally to discuss further.
