Why SOLIDWORKS Electrical Schematics?
SOLIDWORKS Electrical is a recent addition to the product portfolio which allows integration between the electrical and mechanical design processes.

This course introduces the user to the 2D application allowing you to create electrical schematics and wiring diagrams using the extensive library and verification tools.

This course can then lead into the 3D module allowing you to import the components and wires into SOLIDWORKS as 3D models.

Training content covered how to do a lot of things using the software, but not necessarily why you had to do certain things (i.e. why put a particular number in a particular field?). Information provided via walkthrough book was useful, but trainer essentially just read through this instead of adding background around it. Facilities impressive and professional.

Good location and accommodation, Instructor new his subject, very helpful and readdressed every topic we stumbled at. It was stated that this course needed 3 days, not 2, so exercises were not repeated to drive home the information for the software. The supplied manual was excellent and will be a great support back at the office. The links provided for downloading the exercises for the coursework will be valuable to enable self-training in the office to refresh from the course work. Working lunches we just fine with Lap tops with good screen size and resolution perfectly sat up, ready to use. The software run well with no delays and the the instructor took full advantage of the large wall mounted screen to illustrate the commands and effects so we could follow and keep up with the progress through the tutorial manual. I have no negative feed-back, thoroughly enjoyed the course and the manner of tuition was faultless, with lots of patients to stand over us and instruct on a one to one b

This is the second course I have attended with Patrick. As before, he is highly knowledgeable and is able to adapt his delivery to meet individual needs and maintain the team need balance.

The training was comprehensive and informative, however, I feel with the amount of lessons to be covered this should be more than a 2 day course or possibly schedule the later lessons (plc etc) as a separate course. We did not have time to adequately go through the exercises but overall it gave a good starting position. The course trainer was courteous and fairly knowledgeable but a few specific questions caused some uncertainty.

Instruction was very good. The content could have been a bit better especially about connectors. I think the software is quite powerful but..... will need a bit of customising to get what I require from it.

Product : I am a Pneumatics Engineer and have been working in this field for some 20 years, although the training was of some use, I have to say that the Pneumatics section of Solidworks is less than I would expect from a personal view, I think that you could do things a lot better within the package itself.
