Geomagic for SolidWorks (G4SW) Training
Our Geomagic for SOLIDWORKS (G4SW) training is a one-day course covering the basic workflows and commands of the G4SW add-in.
During this course you'll learn how to use G4SW to use scan data as the basis for CAD modelling in SOLIDWORKS.
The training will cover the following topics:

  • Registering scan data
  • Aligning scan data
  • Editing Mesh models
  • Geomagic modelling tools
  • Autosurfacing

Course Prerequisites

I found the experience at the Leamington Spa very informative and I definitely learnt a lot in the 4 day essential course I was there. The course I received from my tutor James Hankins was extremely helpful and made even easier to understand due to his in depth knowledge of the course and its software. I couldn't have asked for a better person to take me through the course as he made things I would have originally found difficult seem very simple to understand, I honestly do not have any faults for the coursed or trainer and only took positives away from the course.

I understand that you would have liked an explanation of all tools used before progressing to a case study but we do find that the content is easier to absorb in smaller segments. Therefore we do introduce the key topics and aim of the case study but find that adding more detail when using the specific tools, makes it easier to understand and take in. However, I can appreciate that everyone has a different learning preference. I am glad to hear you enjoyed the course and are ready to start using the software.
