He ensured that everyone was at the same level and no one was left behind especially when we were conducting the lessons. Overall the course and instructor were very good, however, my experience was somewhat marred by the 2 to 4 computer crashes that were experienced by nearly all the course attendees. This reflected badly on both the software itself and Solid Solutions.

Thanks for the kind comments about our instructors capabilities, specifically how he cared for the class. Regarding the content I can understand your comments as you are correct that the entirety of the courses focuses on Linear Static studies however, the reason for this is because this course supports a specific level of the simulation software. The 'Simulation' course specifically supports the software level - SOLIDWORKS Premium. Further courses such as 'Simulation Professional' or 'Non-Linear' & 'Dynamics' go on to support the additional levels of the software where the 'other' study types are found. So to confirm, Linear Static is the only study type available to SOLIDWORKS Premium users and therefore is the sole focus of the course. 
In previous years there was a lesson within the course that included some functionality from Simulation Professional and we regularly received feedback that this was a 'waste of time' for the attendees as most did not have the software required to use the functions when they got back to the office. This criticism was echoed globally and ultimately was the reason why SOLIDWORKS removed that lesson from this course.
Having said that, if you had asked the instructor questions beyond the intended course content at the end of the day, during the 'training surgery' time, I hope the instructor would have offered you advice and assistance.
