SOLIDWORKS Premium-Dynamics

TRAINING AGENDA

Lesson Agenda
Lesson 1: Vibration of a Pipe - In the first lesson of this course the user will learn the differences between static and dynamic solutions and when to choose each type of study. They will be taught how to define and complete a basic dynamic transient analysis as well as the basics of the modal analysis method.

Lesson 2: Transient Shock Analysis According to MILS-STD-810G - In lesson 2 the user will learn how to define a transient dynamics study and how to use the remote mass feature. They will then be taught how to post-process results from dynamic analysis and how to determine loading configuration from the MILS-STD-810G standard.

Lesson 3: Harmonic analyses of a bracket - Upon completion of lesson 3 the user will be able to analyse models subjected to external loads that vary with the frequency, as well as perform a harmonic analysis.

Lesson 4: Response Spectrum Analysis - In lesson 4 the user will be taught how to analyse the maximum response of objects with loading in the form of a spectrum and perform a response spectrum analysis.

Lesson 5: Random Vibration Analysis According to MIL-STD-810G - In lesson 5 the user will learn how to perform a random vibration analysis as well as understand the input and output of the random vibration analysis.

Lesson 6: Random Vibration Fatigue - Upon completion of lesson 6 the user will be able to calculate fatigue analysis based on the random vibration dynamics results.

Lesson 7: Nonlinear Dynamic Analysis of an Electronic Enclosure - The final lesson of this course teaches the user how to perform a nonlinear dynamic analysis and compare linear and nonlinear dynamic analyses. The user will be taught when nonlinear dynamic analysis is needed as well as how Rayleigh Damping can be used.
Course Details
Length: 2 Days

Prerequisites: SOLIDWORKS Simulation training Course

Description: In this Simulation module attendees learn about the effects that random vibration and dynamic loading conditions have on their designs. Also understand how damping and excitation can impact the day to day use of components. The Dynamic module is available in the Simulation Premium add on product.
