Why SOLIDWORKS Mould Design?
The Mould tool design commands inside SOLIDWORKS allow you to quickly generate the core and cavity models directly from your SOLIDWORKS part file.

In addition, you will learn how to check the draft angles, where to position the parting lines in your design to generate viable tooling, and then account for any remaining undercuts (using both side actions and lifters) and create ejector pins. The course also looks at techniques for dealing with imported data (typically encountered in mould design).

Product : too rushed didn't feel course was spaced out well everything seemed very quick giving out information and tricks and with long periods of case studies which were taken by different level people leaving myself bored and losing interest.

Feedback Response: Service rating : Hi Oliver. Thanks for taking the time to provide feedback. I will have to look back at the course details to see whether this was a course running at capacity. This can pose a few issues and we do consider the mould design training as one of the more advanced modules.

Internally we are thinking of ways to police variations in abilities but I am sure you can understand this is tricky. We always check that customers have completed the prerequisite courses but this still cannot guarantee that these skills have been bedded in with hands work time. I don't really want to get into assessing users prior to arrival as this would put up a barrier I feel.

If there are any topics you would like further information on within the mould tools syllabus (or beyond), please let me know. We have some useful topics covered online in our webinar series but we'd also be happy to run through any specifics with you.

Product : If you produce moulds on a regular basis the course is very good, I would recommend that to go on the course you should do the surface modelling course first so you are familiar with the functions prior to the course, as a large portion of the course uses surface modelling techniques.
